It is time to create and I have no idea what is about to take shape.
I sit for a moment
then begin.
The process is magical when I let it happen.
I trust myself; quieting my inner critic
and following the process.
It is like I let my hands lead and the rest of me watches.
I am surprised at times at what my hands reach for
but I let them chose and I let them create
and I witness it all.
I go to a place of stillness.
I feel the difference of not leading with my head.
I know I am tapping into something deeper
when I create from place of stillness.
Ohh what a beautiful mixed media artwork. :) I love the 'vintage' effect! Creating from stillness sounds so nice.. I hope I can join you. Have a wonderful weekend!

DeleteThis has rather been my philosophy with ICAD as well. I try not to plan the cards out ahead of time, but just sit down with each card, quiet my mind, and let each card create itself. When we get to that place of stillness, then we can indeed tap into something deeper - although I'm still not sure what that something really is! Lovely reflection, and your index card is lovely as well. I love how the star-like shapes appear to glow against the background.
ReplyDeleteThank you Heather. Yes, I find if I try to plan something out in advance, I'm usually disappointed with the result and it seems every time I just let things happen, I'm pleasantly surprised :)
DeleteWhat lovely words & images Nicole! This index card a day looks realy interesting!
ReplyDeleteIt is all about the process and beginning, and trusting that voice! Love this card. :)
